We believe in fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement, and we are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as the Quality Assurance Coordinator. The Quality Assurance Coordinator ensures that the plant follows and adheres to quality protocols and produces the highest quality product. Responsibilities include cost performance, drive to maximize efficiency, and continuous improvement of processes, service, and safety for the Ruston, LA. location. Roles & Responsibilities: •Lead change and improvement across the production/fabrication and quality processes. •Coach and mentor employees, build their capabilities, and participate in their succession planning and skill development. •Collaborate with Engineering to document Company standard non-written procedures. •Write ASME welding procedures and qualification requirements for welders. •Facilitate Quality Process training and train and certify new and existing welders. •Track and update the Welder Continuity Log. •Develop and maintain KPI reports, inspections, and test plans. •Review customer quality requirements, create a plan to meet them, and change them based on the company proposal when needed. •Consult with Engineering, Project Managers, and Production teams to determine appropriate welding standards. •Conduct in-process and final inspections to verify compliance with Company standards and customer specifications. •Document inspection results by completing reports and logs and accurately inputting data into the Company's system. •Act as a leading party to elaborate and track NCR reports to closure. •Lead corrective action monitoring and closure to prevent future events. •Perform QC/QA inspection on products and materials received by suppliers. •Make recommendations and facilitate proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data, including. •Champion key initiatives, including Six Sigma, analytics-based decision-making, forward looking measures, standardized work, and structured problem-solving. •Other duties and projects as assigned. Skills & Abilities: •Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills. •Team player with the ability to work collaboratively across departmental boundaries. •Outstanding decision-making and problem-solving skills. •Proven ability to build trust and credibility with teams, make an impact, and drive success within an organization. •Experience in participating in quality investigations, undertaking root cause analysis, developing corrective action plans, and ensuring the effectiveness of actions undertaken. •Capable of interpreting production drawings and internal and external specifications to distinguish between conforming and non-conforming products. •Successful organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize. •Ability to operate under deadlines while still meeting standards. •Effective testing inspection and measurement skills and abilitiesQualifications•Associate degree in a related field/trade or equivalent experience. •AWS Certified Welding Inspector. •Level-II Liquid Penetrant Certified, or ability to obtain within the first year of employment. •5+ years of Welding and Fabrication experience. •3+ years of experience in a similar role required. •Knowledge of AWS, ASME, API, and NBIC weld requirements. •Familiarity with sheet metal, machine fabrication codes, and industry standards preferred. Working Conditions: •Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, forklifts, and electricity in the manufacturing areas. •Most work is performed in a warehouse, a manufacturing environment that is not climate-controlled. •Exposure to moderate to high noise levels requiring the use of PPE. •Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. •Close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus required. •Standing, bending, stooping, crouching, walking, using hands and arms reaching for objects, carrying, climbing, balancing, speaking, and hearing for extended time periods. •Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions of the position.
