Ward 11.15.2024Supervisory Responsibilities:NoFLSA Status:Exempt / SalariedPosition Summary: Establishes Quality Standards for products and processes and suggests/implements modifications meant to prevent defects in components or final assemblies. Assists in ensuring quality during all phases of production.Key Job Responsibilities: A qualified individual with a disability must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. This person will work closely with cross functional teams to identify and mitigate quality risks.
  • Conducts root cause analysis for defects, non-conformities or other quality defects.
  • Identify application requirements.
  • May be responsible for ensuring compliance with external quality standards such as Intertek.
  • Collaboration and communication with business technical staff, customers, and vendors.
  • Extract, analyze, and action data from application for use in internal and external business.
  • Audit production processes, raw materials, or suppliers/vendors to ensure that established quality standards are met.
  • Support business staff through application extension training and information.
  • Keep current with technologies that have potential impact on company information processes, identify opportunities and make recommendations for changes or additions.
  • Deliver quality service by establishing and demonstrating organization standards.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Non-Essential Functions:
  • Maintains a neat, orderly, and organized work area at all times.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned.
Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality or equivalent experience and training.
  • Strong verbal and communications skills.
  • Ability to define, analyze and document requirements, consider, and explore multiple approaches and suggest effective solutions.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to work independently on diverse problems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and perform in an environment that can be ambiguous and time sensitive.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Must be available to work on-site in Decatur, MI
  • Ability to travel to conferences, vendor meetings and to our other locations. Decatur, MI is the location of the corporate office, and most vendors are within a 150-mile radius. The amount of travel per year should be approximately 5% or less.
Physical Requirements:
  • Frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate office equipment, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently required to talk and hear.
  • Frequently required to sit for long periods of time.
  • Required to occasionally stand and walk.
  • Occasionally required to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 70-pounds with assistance
  • Specific vision abilities required include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
