Position Overview: This position involves performing complex electro-mechanical inspections throughout the production process, from initial assembly to final inspection. You will conduct critical visual, dimensional, and functional tests on a wide range of components and systems, requiring the ability to set up specialized equipment and interpret test data. Success in this role requires strong knowledge of inspection methods, proficiency in reading blueprints and engineering drawings, and the ability to address material discrepancies. Key Responsibilities: Performs wide variety of complex and difficult electro-mechanical inspections in the production/assembly/source process through final assembly inspection. Follows general inspection guidelines to conduct critical non-routine visual, dimensional, test and functional inspections on a wide variety of components, assemblies, equipment, systems, supplies and materials. Performs complex and critical inspection procedures requiring special set-ups of new or unique equipment and interpretation of test data from a variety of sources. May conduct first article inspection of parts and assemblies. Identification and handling of discrepant material, understanding part flow requirements and supporting associated actions. Ability to deal with problems in solving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Regularly interfaces with Assembly, Quality Management, Engineering Customers RIs. Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities What you will need to be successful: High School diploma or equivalent Understanding of inspection methods and equipment, the ability to perform complex shop mathematics. Ability to interpret and use blueprints, specs, engineering drawings, electrical schematics, materials lists and inspection standards. Requires a minimum of one-year experience of interfacing with quality functions. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; in high, precarious places; and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Work under minimum supervision. Available to work overtime. The base hourly rate for this position in Sacramento, CA is $ 20.00hr (plus shift premium - 10% for 2nd shift, 20% for 3rd shift).
