Our core competencies that support our continued success are professional project management, comprehensive inventory, worldwide mill relationships, quality programs and our unsurpassed experience and market knowledge.Position SummaryThe Quality Assurace Lead supports the Quality Director with the maintaining and implementing of Tioga's three quality programs: Nuclear, Military, and ISO. This person will serve as the company quality liaison on major contracts, participate as a consultant to our sales group in interpreting customer requirements, serve as an advisor and technical support for quality-related issues and back-up the Quality Assurance team in key activities. The candidate should be knowledgeable in the requirements of ASME and ASTM material specifications, ASME B&PV Section III, 10CFR50 Appendix B, 10CFR Part 21, ASME NQA-1/ANSI N45.2, and CSA-N299.Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Minimum of ten years previous experience in an ASME or other certified program in power generation or energy industries
- Previous experience as a Lead Auditor (in accordance with NQA-1)
- Previous experience as a mechanical Inspector preferred
- Previous experience in the piping industry preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent customer and supplier relations
- Working knowledge of MS Office applications including Excel
- Knowledge of steel products, manufacturing, specifications and applications preferred
- Good mathematical and mechanical aptitude
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day management of all aspects of each of Tioga's Three Quality Assurance (QA) programs
- Directs workers engaged in inspection, testing, certification activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products
- Develop initial revisions and subsequent modifications to the quality assurance programs and make recommendations to help define the following:
- Program capabilities and goals
- QA Policies and Procedures
- Personnel responsibilities and areas of responsibility
- Design and write quality manuals, procedures, and work instructions using written and verbal input from workers and department managers
- Define supplier requirements, develop suppliers, manage and monitor Tioga Pipe's Approved Supplier Lists (ASL)
- Serve as a Lead auditor, conduct supplier surveillance audits
- Understand and communicate details concerning all Tioga Pipe specifications and requirements
- Build and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers
- Regular supply chain interface. Visit suppliers as necessary
- Communicate customer needs within the Tioga Pipe organization
- Assist and advise in the resolution of technical issues
- Manage Tioga's Corrective Action and Non-conformance Programs
- Collect and interpret data, and develop reports in support of Key Performance Indicators / Metrics and Management Reviews
- Develop and conduct QA training as needed
