Position Summary:

As a member of the site leadership team the Quality Assurance Manager will be an integral part of the operation and change management leader responsible for the deployment of the quality program. Designs and maintains policies and procedures in compliance to ISO-9001:2015 standard requirements and performs internal audits to validate quality management system for both manufacturing and distribution. Responsible for enabling local management teams to: increase workforce engagement, deliver operational improvements, sustain a high-performing lean & quality culture, strive for zero defects by utilizing continuous improvement processes and tools, and be a catalyst to institute a culture of process capabilities and control rather than product inspection.

What will you do?

* Role model Fair Share behaviors in all aspects of integrity, trust, respect, safety, teamwork, positive attitude, information sharing and work ethic

* Leads the Quality Assurance Inspections team for a 24/7 manufacturing and distribution center operation.

* Designs and maintains policies and procedures in compliance to ISO-9001:2015 standard requirements and performs internal audits to check how the quality management system is working

* Set goals such as budgets, capabilities, and capacities necessary and sufficient to achieve Total Customer Satisfaction

* Develop operating plans required to achieve strategic goals and metrics

* Drive for zero defects operation by utilizing modern quality science and continuous improvement tools in conjunction with sound injection molding process engineering know-how and distribution pick/pack/ship processes

* Technical abilities and analytical skills - proven exceptional ability to analyze and solve problems based on quality & lean transformation experience

* Ensures product quality standards are met

* Evaluates and approves new and existing product designs to ensure manufacturability, prior to design release

* Reviews, disciplines and counsels personnel as required to maintain a high level of employee performance

* Establishes systems to monitor key performance measures (score cards) and to improve supplier quality performance

* Leads a team responding to Failure Analysis and respond to customer requests for Corrective Action

* Works closely with manufacturing to calibrate fixtures and gages.

* Monitors the cost of poor quality and product returns and uses data to help better manage the efforts to strive for zero defects

* Assists Human Resources and Department Managers in Quality Assurance Program training of internal personnel

* Leading plant problem solving initiatives

* Acting as a coach and mentor to employees and operations leadership

* Successful transformation to include increased safety, quality, productivity and cost reduction

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Industrial and/or Quality Engineering

* Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Lean manufacturing, experience with including plastic injection molding and polypro resin a plus.

* Must have knowledge and experience of ISO:9001 Quality Management Systems

* Experience with distribution picking / shipping operations

* Experience with SAP software, MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CAD drawings

* Experience with nonconforming reporting, corrective action requests, 8D's, etc. to support Total Customer Satisfaction

* Experience with SPC, process capability and DOE preferred.

* Experience with: statistical analysis software preferred

* Demonstrated effective leadership, planning, analysis, problem solving, judgment, decision making and communicating skills

* Ability to recognize, question and develop solutions for technical issues in operations, maintenance, logistics, quality, environmental and safety

The annual salary for this position starts at $120,000.
