Once a summary page appears, hover your mouse over the orange Action button for a list of possible approval step options.Position Information Position Title Quality Assurance Manager Status Full Time Job Summary The Quality Assurance Manager will provide quality control and oversight to the facilities service contractor and other external contractors.Essential Job Duties
  • Monitor performance and oversee the daily operations of the facilities service contractor and other external contractors
  • Ensure that services meet consistent standards at various stages
  • Develop quality control tests, implements checklists to ensure that products meet standards
  • Write reports, document quality issues and compliance reports
  • Collaborate with others, work with quality assurance personnel to implement systems and procedures with facilities service contractor
  • Assess key performance indicators, audit facilities service contractor performance regularly as it relates to work orders, maintenance, grounds care and custodial services
  • Ensure quality control in cleaning all residential halls, classrooms, and buildings on and off-campus
  • Ensure quality control in grounds care on and off-campus
  • Monitor work order system completion percentages to ensure customer service benchmarks are met
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications (Education, Experience and Specialized Training)
  • Associate's degree in related field
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Five years of related experience
Physical Demands
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment
  • Ability to walk short distances
  • Ability to lift and small carry parcels, packages and other items
  • Ability to prepare and analyzing data and figures
  • Ability to view a computer terminal; extensive reading
  • Ability to lift at least 10 pounds
Skills and Attributes Knowledge of:
  • Office administration, budgeting, financial control, general business operations; personnel and performance management; continuous quality improvement or process management methods
  • Appropriate plumbing, electrical, fire, and safety code, OSHA regulations and standards, general building codes, environmental agency requirements, and life safety standards
Skills:
  • Possess strong human relations/customer service skills
  • Skilled in the use of electronic information systems and their use in automating such functions as service request/word order, asset management, facilities assessment, inventory/ordering, and work scheduling
  • Familiar with all major aspects of university facilities and their management with a strong background in the maintenance of building systems, demonstrated by a combination of experience and education
Ability to:
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse constituencies
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
