Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager
Division/Program: (Adult Inpatient) Merced Crisis Residential Unit
Starting Compensation: 70000 - 80000 USD Per Year
Working Location: Merced, CA
Working Hours/Shift: (On Site) Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm traveling between Merced and Modesto, CA

What you bring to SBHG: - Licensed vocational nurse preferred plus at least four (4) years of experience in a mental health field required OR
- Bachelor's degree in child counseling, development or psychology, social services or vocational counseling or related social science field plus at least four (4) years of experience in a mental health field required OR
- Master's degree in child counseling, development or psychology, social services or vocational counseling or related social science field plus at least two (2) years of experience in a mental health field preferred.
- Valid California Driver's License
How you will make a difference: - Coordinates the audit system, including monitoring of the audit system to assure that all monthly audits are occurring on time and being conducted correctly. and working with internal programs to ensure fidelity to the audit system.
- Partners with Regional Quality Assurance Manager and Stars Administrator to prepare for and maintain accreditation with The Joint Commission.
- Assists with assuring that all corrections are being followed through.
- Consults with Regional Quality Assurance Manager (RQAM) with questions regarding clinical quality of documentation.
- Assists with keeping audit tools up to date
- Coordinates the RCIP process. Supports managers and staff in running RCIPs (agendas, minutes, tracking log, etc.) and supports follow through of recommendations made through the QIT process.
- Coordinates the Satisfaction Survey process for all Central Star programs, ensuring surveys are disseminated, completed, and returned.
- Prepares reports for programs to share feedback gathered through the survey process. Coordinates the Probe process.
- Tallies and tracks probes, consults with RQAM regarding Clinical & Program Practices probe results, and make recommendations for plans of correction.
- Coordinates the Peer Review process.
- Assures completion of reviews based on Stars CS requirements.
- With guidance and support from RQAM and Administrator, develops the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) presentations by gathering and compiling all relevant CQI data and supporting programs with creating CQI slides.
- Responsible for providing the first draft to the RQAM.
- Tracks and analyzes Peer Review forms and reports trends to Program Managers and RQAM.
- Coordinates Medi-Cal Certification/Recertification process.
- Assures completion of document submission and onsite walkthroughs. Responsible for ensuring Program Managers' adherence to the Service Validation policy and provides support as needed.
- Analyzes trends to inform quality improvement efforts.
- Participates as a member of the Stars Management Team.
- Attends management meetings and regularly meets with RQAM and Stars Administrator to share and problem solve program and management issues.
- Oversees the packet review process, including managing the documentation tracking procedure.
- Oversees administrative processes with regards to the workflow of documentation from referral through discharge, including medication services and PCP letter process.
- Responsible for auditing client services billings, suspended services, and void entry process.
- Assures completion of NACT Tool, ensures completion of DCR, and provides related training support to other staff as needed.
- Partners with Program Manager/Director to support with obtaining access and providing EHR training to new program staff.
- Supports the business office with service entry data, documentation & billing practices, and following up with county and/or commercial insurance.
