**Responsibilities**
**PURPOSE** : To ensure compliance and continuous improvement of our Quality System while maintaining our Food Safety programs.
+ Institute and maintain programs that ensure conformance to quality inspection procedures and standards.
+ Adhere to and assist in facilitating continual product safety in accordance with the SQF Code, Prerequisite, HACCP and Food Safety Programs.
+ Delegate job responsibilities and manage Quality personnel.
+ Evaluate and process customer complaints / credits and facilitate corrective action.
+ Ensures conformance to both internal and customer specifications.
+ Assure maintenance of Quality records in an organized, functional and traceable system.
+ Develop and implement programs to continuously improve the consistency of products with equal or reduced costs.
+ Develop, control and administer Quality Department operational budget.
+ Communicate directly with customers regarding quality issues and their resolution.
+ Adhere to all Company and departmental procedures.
+ Assist in facilitating internal audit function (for Food Safety and Quality Systems).
+ Serve as SQF Practitioner and ISO Management Representative.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in quality or related Science preferred or equivalent practical experience
+ Three to five years' experience in Quality Management, Engineering Management, Production Management and/or Project Management in a manufacturing environment preferred
+ Five years supervisory experience highly preferred
+ Computer expertise including fluency in Microsoft Office applications.
+ Knowledgeable in Food Safety Systems, the SQF Code and the packaging industry strongly preferred.
+ Financial and departmental budget experience.
+ Ability to travel, as required.
+ Capable of working extended workdays and weekends, as required.
