A leading manufacturer and distributor of premium food and beverage products is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to oversee food safety compliance and quality standards. This position will collaborate across departments, ensuring compliance with USDA, FDA, HACCP, GMP, and other regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain food safety and quality programs (BRC, HACCP, GMP, SSOP).
- Train team members on food safety and quality standards.
- Lead product development and innovation projects.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards for a gluten-free facility.
- Address regulatory issues, consumer complaints, and quality holds.
- Manage risk in innovation and productivity projects.
- Oversee pest control programs and maintain a safe work environment.
- Manage department budget and other assigned duties.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years in Quality Assurance or related leadership roles in manufacturing.
- Expertise in HACCP, BRC, FSMA, organic, and kosher standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
