Job Description:

Job Summary: The Quality Assurance Manager oversees all quality department activities company-wide, including inspection and audit processes. Their primary responsibility is to ensure compliance with the quality system and meet customer requirements and expectations. Additionally, they develop and report quality metrics for all stages of manufacturing, from purchased materials through customer receipt. The Quality Assurance Manager supervises, trains, and empowers inspectors, quality technicians, and quality engineers within assigned business units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all quality department activities across the organization.
  • Conduct inspections and audits to maintain compliance with the quality system.
  • Develop and implement quality metrics to track performance at various manufacturing stages.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality-related issues.
  • Train and mentor inspectors, quality technicians, and quality engineers.
  • Ensure adherence to all established PMM quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Quality Management).
  • Proven quality assurance experience, within the plastic injection molding or related industries. (Senior Engineer or Manager levels)
  • Strong knowledge of quality standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with quality management software and tools.

Preferred Skills:

  • ASQ certification (e.g., Certified Quality Manager, Certified Quality Engineer).
  • Experience with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
  • Problem-solving and root cause analysis abilities.
  • Collaborative mindset and team-oriented approach.
