- Administer Quality Management Systems Plan: Administer, update and manage the SFRTA's Quality Management Systems Plan (QMSP) in accordance with the Federal Transit Administration's (FTA's) Quality Management System Guidelines.
- Prepare Reports: Prepare semi-annual reports that discusses the adequacy and implementation of the QMSP
- Review Contracts: Provide reviews on contracts during design, award, and contract/project execution to ensure inclusion of quality standards and requirements.
- Evaluate Quality Programs: Monitor and evaluate quality program implementation, adequacy, and effectiveness through quality surveillance and quality compliance reviews.
- Support Capital Projects: Monitor inspection and testing during project execution and provide additional support for capital projects.
- Develop Corrective Actions: Develop / review corrective action plans / reports.
- Coordinate with Agencies: Coordinate with Federal, State, and local agencies, including the FTA, FRA, and FDOT to implement the agency's QMSP, or during external audits.
- Participate in Safety and Security Activities: Provide support and participation in Safety and Security activities, such as committee meetings, project walk-throughs and safety and security certification process for rolling stock, tracks and signals, stations, facilities, and safety-related programs.
- Conduct Training: Conduct orientation and training on SFRTA's QMSP to appropriate staff, consultants and contractors who perform activities that affect the quality of SFRTA's projects.
- Interface with Departments: Interface and coordinate with other SFRTA departments, including Safety & Security, Procurement, Operations, Planning & Capital Development, and Finance as necessary.

- Attend Technical Meetings: Participate in the attendance of any relevant local, state or federal technical transportation meetings.
- Review Solicitation Packages: Provide review and input on solicitation packages to ensure SFRTA's QMSP requirements are in accordance with the scope of services.

QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge of:
- FTA Quality Management System Guidelines;

- Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Methodologies.
- Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility for licensure within one (1) year of hire.
- FTA-specific training or certification in the Transit Safety and Security Program (TSSP).
