ResponsibilitiesPeraton is seeking a Quality Assurance Process Analyst, to support our Colorado Springs, CO, production manufacturing facility, as part of the company's Technology Development and Application (TDA) program. Position may allow for some telework, but must be local to the site. The AcusilĀ® production department manufactures thermal protection materials for civil and military applications, and the customers we support are large and small Aerospace companies. The materials are engineered, molded, cured, machined to print, and bonded to customer-supplied artifacts. Our team delivers strong customer satisfaction through rigorous application of Quality Assurance processes, ensuring the highest product quality while maintaining strict delivery schedules.In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the QA Process Supervisor in maintaining and improving upon the program's Quality Management System (QMS). Primary activities will include:
- Perform and participate in internal, external, and supplier audits to ensure compliance with established policies, processes, and procedures against standards such as ISO 9001 and AS9100, to include:
- Scheduling audits, checklist development, create audit reports, facilitating root cause/lessons learned analysis and internal/external presentations.
- Analyze, compile, and report on findings of non-compliance and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Track and escalate unresolved non-compliance issues and corrective and preventive action plans to closure.
- Assisting program management and respective teams to implement organizational best practices.
- Create and collect metrics relevant to the program's Quality Objectives.
- Assist in maintaining the QMS assets library including all templates and work instructions.
- Other tasks as assigned directly relevant for this position.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 5+ years working in a quality organization conforming to ISO 9001; without a degree, 9+ years of related experience is required.
- 1 - 3 years' performing audits against ISO and/or AS standards.
- Experience establishing annual Quality Strategic Objectives.
- Experience using Microsoft Office 365.
- Experience interfacing with Program Manager and Corporate Quality counterparts.
- Know the basis and use of Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Ability to obtain a DOD security clearance, which requires a US citizen. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Desired Qualifications:
- Highly organized and effectively manages time.
- Hands-on experience as a project team member.
- Experience working in an Aerospace or DOD environment.
- Black Belt, Green Belt or Lean Master certification a plus.
- Certified Auditor or Lead Auditor.
- Working knowledge of software package(s) used for analyzing processes and data (e.g. ProcessModel or Minitab) a plus.
