Summary/Objectives:The quality assurance product auditor position on 2nd shift inspects materials, products and processes for conformance to specifications ensuring that the product complies with quality standards. The quality assurance product auditor position also performs daily dock audits, daily product and pasum audits to ensure compliance to Paumac QMS system. This position also provides quality at the source training support to second shift employees.Essential Functions:
- Examines material or product for surface defects such as cracks, pits, and incomplete welds. Compares product with parts list or sample model to ensure completion of assembly. Verifies specified dimensions of product or material.
- Rejects defective parts, and marks type of defect on part, container of parts, or inspection tag. Update logs as required and provide feedback to Paumac team and management as required.
- May generate Quality Alerts for internal non-conformance's identified. Maintains rejection logs and notifies the Sr. Quality Tech and or Quality Manager to determine if a non-conformance should be issued.
- Perform 100% containment inspection as required (external rejections, SLP). Ensure following containment instructions as well as part containment identification requirements.
- Assist to interprets engineering drawings, diagrams and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
- Provide input to lessons learned to APQP Team.
- Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance and mechanical characteristics.
- Ensure Paumacs QMS requirements are being followed. Provide training support as needed.
- Provides Training and assistance to the production team on quality requirements.
- Performs Quality Audits of the Production Products/Process as required and provides reports of results to the Management Team. Maintain records of audits. Follows up with team members on open actions from audits to ensure closure. Seeks management support as needed to close out open issues from audit.
- When workload in quality is slower provide support to production team as needed, reach out to supervisor when work load allows.
- Operates any diagnostic equipment needed to perform job.
- Accurately complete all required paperwork in a timely manner.
- Communicate with other departments as necessary.
- Keep work areas clean and organized.
- Adhere to all company rules and policies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Key performance metrics: Receiving Inspection, Dock Audit/Product Audit, Daily Audits, PASUM Audits, Production Floor Support, External and Internal PPM, Quality Records maintenance.
