Responsibilities to Anticipate for this role - Defines and monitors mission assurance program specifications and processes, to ensure the success of all programs for the Fort Bliss Team;
- Performs or assures quality, risk management, safety, reliability and maintainability of program achievements, subcontractors and suppliers in accordance with contractual requirements;
- Quality Assurance Representative for the Fort Bliss Team that is responsible for the installation, inspecting, instruction and troubleshooting of military vehicles;
- Act as the primary safety representative for the Fort Bliss Team, as well as development of safety practices and procedures;
- Perform other duties as required.
- Must be able to travel as required to support GDLS Ft. Hood maintenance, fielding and retrofit activities for both State-side and International GDLS requirements.
Qualifications Sought - Must have three (3) or more years of maintenance experience on family of Abrams Vehicles.
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Acquired knowledge of GDLS processes, products and military technology;
- Maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times, and knowing our product inside and out so that you can answer questions.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Abrams diagnostic and troubleshooting for all variants as well as navigate Electronic Technical Manuals (ETM).
- Familiar with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) applications and procedures;
- Able to secure and maintain a NACI and United States Passport, if required;
- Must be a U.S. person;
- Able to interpret Environmental Health & Safety standards, conduct internal audits and monitor compliance;
- Requires minimal supervision and capable of working independently with minimal errors;
- Excellent communication skills along with professional demeanor that extends to all levels of the organization;
- Able to present a professional presentation to a small audience (1-10 people) clearly and succinctly;
- Fluent with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) applications;
- Provide input to program planning and schedules;
- Must have a valid State Driver's License and be able to obtain a military license and meet the anthropometric requirements to entry into a driver's station or into an enclosed military vehicle;
- Required to work at various heights, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, able to climb, work in enclosed spaces - often in awkward positions, work in extreme temperatures, dusty environments and multiple shifts.
Additional Information / Desired Experience - This position may require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance)
- Previous experience working on ground combat Vehicles desired.
- Must be able to work occasional evening and/or weekend overtime as required
- Familiarity with military standards and test requirements desired.
