SourceAmerica is searching for a Quality Assurance Representative, Federal Products Solutions to join its team, focused on focused on as a prime contractor under the Manufacturing andDevelopment (M&D) program SourceAmerica utilizes a number of sub-contractors to develop and produce various prototypes of product for the US Military for evaluation, testing, and potential rapid fielding to an affiliated nonprofit agency (NPA) approved through SourceAmericas. Additionally, NPAs within SourceAmericas network hold contracts directly with the Government for the delivery of products that may or may not have resulted from a contract.

A quality assurance representative is responsible for ensuring that the units produced or manufactured comply with specifications and quality standards set by the customer, industry or other. The primary area of responsibility are M&D contracts but may also include support of contracts directly between the government customer and the NPA.

What You Will Do ...

As a Quality Assurance Representative, Federal Products Solutions, your work functions will include but are not limited to the following. A full position description will be given to candidates at the time of the interview.

Validation of product and verification of process controls utilized during the entire production process, discovering erroneous methods or tools being used by workers, observing the units produced for visible defects, performing or observing various on-site inspections or tests to assure desirable characteristics, document findings, preparing reports, accepting or rejecting lots produced, validate implementation of quality control programs, reviewing training manuals and quality processes and guidelines, and perform other tasks directed by SourceAmericas program manager, quality manager.

Act as liaison with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) or other government inspector.

Review inspection reports, evaluate test results, create reports, and provide briefs to all levels of management.

May be required to observe government tests at government facilities. Must be able to pass a background check to gain access to government facilities.

Work in an ISO9001:2015 environment.

Other responsibilities will be assigned as organizational needs arise.

Salary Range

The salary for this position falls in a range between $92,000- $120,000 depending on your experience and geographic location in the United States.

What You Need to Succeed ...

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study from an accredited institution instead of applicable skills training. SourceAmerica recognizes 1.5 years of experience = 1 year of college, should the candidate not meet the educational requirement.

7 years relevant work experience of textile and materials, fabrication, and product technology.

Demonstrated ability to analyze and problem-solve independently.

Experience managing ISO 9001.

Preferred Qualifications

10+ years relevant work experience.

Knowledge of Federal government contracting requirements for quality assurance and compliance.

Has experience working in a fast-paced service or production environment.

Working experience and technical knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, Baldrige Performance Excellence) and process improvement methodologies, techniques, and tools (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)

Expert knowledge of production and inspection/quality control processes for clothing and textile items.

Working knowledge of quality control standards and measurement techniques

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain business relationships with customers using strong interpersonal skills and sound business judgement

Demonstrated proficiency with facilitating/mediating meetings among customers and other stakeholders

Ability to document processes and project plans through conception, development, implementation, and execution.

Knowledge of Federal government contracting requirements for quality assurance and compliance.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to deliver training, make presentations, and speak to target audiences.

Creativity and innovation in problem solving.

We use Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) as our primary business application system for much of our office processes experience with D365 or using similar methods is preferred.

Our organization offers both a hybrid work modelwhere employees work in our office two to three days per week and work from home the balance of the workweekas well as a fully remote work model, depending on the job requirements and ones proximity to one of our offices in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, or the Washington, DC-area.

7 years: Conduct product and process audits according to ISO 9001:2015 standards for Contractors.

7 years: Ensure compliance with the Quality Assurance Plan during equipment manufacturing phases.

7 years: Identify opportunities for process improvements in construction and monitoring techniques. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.

7 years: Maintain accurate records of construction and testing phases. Prepare detailed reports on QA/QC activities and outcomes for internal and regulatory bodies.
