Position Summary:
Chromalloy is looking for an experienced leader in the field of quality management. Responsibilities involve leading all aspects of quality for a multi-site operation to include daily operations to system requirements of ISO9001/AS9100 and ISO 17025 standards, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement of the quality management system.
The successful candidate will be responsible for local procedure development and implementation, inspection teams, internal audits for the facility and suppliers, contract and purchase order review process, and the engineering New Product Introduction (NPI) process, etc. ?Additionally, the successful candidate will own the execution corrective action process and training.
Job Duties:
* Leads inspection functions: Receiving Inspection, Final Inspection, NDT.
* Oversee the training of NDT personnel, testing and certification & monitor the workmanship of NDT personnel.
* Ensures compliance with Company Management System and Manuals.
* Experience in deployment and management of mature ISO9001, AS9100, and ISO 17025 quality requirements.
* Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and provide technical support.
* Support CI events, Kaizen events and run CI improvement projects.
* Metric collection and reporting to include action plans for any off-target items.
* Inspection and testing as required.
Qualifications:
* BS in Engineering, Business, or Quality
* Demonstrated experience leading diverse teams in complex operational environments.
* Able to communicate effectively across multiple organizational levels and disciplines.
* Experience with technical writing and understanding specifications, manuals, procedures and industry standards.
* Experience with blueprint and models interpretation and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
* Demonstrated expertise in root cause analysis methodologies.
* Experience with overhaul & repair (MRO) and manufacturing processes for turbine engine components. Supervisory/management experience with both hourly/salary employees
* Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
* Certified Six Sigma Green Belt level or willing to attend the Chromalloy certification program.
* Prior experience with part 145/21 certification and processes
* NDT and CMM experience
* Data literacy & experience with statistical process controls
* Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
