Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing and assisting with the development of written procedures, directives, and publications directly related to the daily functions of all Contract Field Team (CFT) sites. This role involves working closely with the Director of Quality and Program Managers to ensure the highest quality of workmanship is maintained according to standards set forth in our Quality Management System and Standard Operation Procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

* Documentation and Procedures:

* Review and assist in developing written procedures, directives, and publications.

* Ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures.

* Work daily with the Director of Quality and Program Managers.

* Audits and Inspections:

* Assist with required audits, audit reports, memos, inspections, and research on safety and OSHA regulations.

* Develop required spreadsheets and/or databases to track various reports, including Government Property, safety incidents, training requirements, and certification and recertification requirements.

* Quality and Safety Coordination:

* Ensure adherence to quality assurance processes and procedures.

* Implement and monitor quality control systems to maintain the highest product and service quality standards.

* Conduct quality assessments and process audits to identify areas for improvement.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.

* Develop and deliver training programs on quality standards and best practices.

* Coordinate and oversee the handling of workplace quality and safety issues.

* Provide a safe working environment for employees at all locations.

* Develop and promote workplace safety policies and procedures to reduce and eliminate safety hazards.

* Regulatory Compliance:

* Prepare and/or assist with the preparation of various regulatory reports and inspections (e.g., OSHA).

* Conduct investigations of work-related injuries, illnesses, and incidents involving damage to government equipment.

* Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

* Training and Awareness:

* Develop and promote safety policies and initiatives to increase awareness.

* Encourage employees to report unsafe working conditions and partner with supervisors to correct unsafe activities.

* Recommend and develop policies, practices, and training aimed at reducing employee injuries.

* Assist in coordinating and overseeing the administration of the company's quality and safety programs.

Qualifications:

* Experience:

* High School diploma required.

* Experience working with Quality Management Systems (QMS) to ensure quality management for achieving performance expectations and objectives, with a background in Quality Control/Assurance and Aviation Maintenance Administration and an understanding of Military Aviation Maintenance processes.

* Familiarity with AS9100/AS9110 standards for maintaining compliance with the QMS.

* Experience facilitating root cause/lessons learned analysis.

* Experience analyzing, compiling, tracking, and reporting on findings of non-compliance and providing recommendations for improvement.

* Experience overseeing corrective and preventative action plan implementation, tracking their resolution, and escalating unresolved non-compliance issues to higher authorities.

* Experience collecting metrics, analyzing, and reporting various measures to stakeholders.

* Experience making recommendations for continuous improvement.

* Experience performing spot checks/audits of performance against Ground Operation Procedures and SOPs.

* Experience in creating Ground Operation Procedures in accordance with DCMA Instruction 8210.1C.

* Ability to educate and train staff on quality management policies and procedures.

* Be detail oriented, deadline conscious, and can work independently with little or no supervision.

* Must be able to obtain a security clearance and be subjected to background and drug testing.

* Travel required for auditing purposes.

* Formal military training and experience in managing an Aviation Safety/Quality Assurance/Control Programs is a plus.

* Skills:

* Excellent organizational and communication skills.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.

Compensation

$90,000-$110,000

Employment is contingent on (a) your ability to provide appropriate proof of your identity and eligibility to work in the United States; (b) your references and any background check being satisfactory to the Company; (c) you successfully passing a pre-employment drug test; and (d) your ability to get a required clearance by your effective start date, if needed; and (e) KAI commencing performance on this contract.
