BLOX Digital is a leading digital solutions provider for media organizations across the United States and beyond. We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our Quality Assurance team. Position Responsibilities
- Install and configure software on testing environments
- Conduct software compatibility and regression tests
- Documents results and offers improvements after analysis of test results and overall product quality
- Collaborates with the development team on bug fix verification and validation
- Communicates professionally at all levels within and outside the organization
- Supports, designs, develops, and enhances test processes and reporting for quality assurance processes
- Identify program deviance from standards, and suggest modifications to ensure compliance
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- At least 3+ years of quality assurance experience in agile development environments
- Familiarity with agile software development methodologies
- Minimum 3+ years experience with web-based application testing
- Minimum 3+ years experience with integration testing between applications
- Defines problems, collects data, established facts, draws valid conclusions, and provides solutions
- Identifies, communicates, and escalates issues as required
- Self-starter that can work side by side with development team
- Ability to multi-task and quickly adjust in a rapidly changing environment
- Thorough working knowledge of software testing methodologies and testing life cycle
- Must be able to communicate clearly in writing, by phone, and in person
Education & Experience
- Understanding of application integration
- Industry experience in News and Broadcast services
- Working knowledge of Atlassian products
- Familiarity with programming languages and MySQL
- Familiarity with scripting languages used in test automation a plus
- Scalability and performance testing
- Bachelor's degree in computer-related field or equivalent experience
- Desire to learn new technologies
