We are hiring a QA Supervisor that will develop QA technicians by investing time through relevant job training, empowerment, and engagement along with continuously improving our systems and programs. The ideal candidate is a very organized professional with a systematic approach to process and program improvement with the ability to inspire others in fostering a quality culture. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
- Supervise and manage QA technicians and QA Leads including setting goals, developing processes, and providing guidance and support through their professional journey.
- Manage people and resources to meet departmental and organizational goals.
- Ensure accurate and effective training of necessary personnel.
- Support the facility in ensuring food safety programs and regulatory requirements are met and challenged for continuous improvement.
- Data utilization to aid in continuous improvement.
- Oversee implementation of HACCP, SSOP, GMP, pre-requisite programs.
- Assist in management of food safety and quality requirements.
- Guide and develop cooperative relationship between plant departments and USDA.
- Actively analyze situations to make informed dispositions and decisions based on product safety and quality.
- Instill collaboration among cross-functional plant teams in issue resolution.
- Professional communication (written / verbal) with internal and external customers
- Ability to read and interpret documents and regulations.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of work experience (3-5 years relevant QA experience) and training.
- Experience in direct supervision preferred.
- Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization.
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
