Job Summary
Responsible for managing an effective and compliant AS9100D / ISO9001: 2015 Quality Management System (QMS). Responsible for supporting NADCAP requirements, audits and conformance. Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives for the Quality Department.
Essential Functions
* Coordinate, schedule, lead and support internal, external and third party audits including overseeing effective closure of audits, etc.
* Develop internal audit plans and lead audits including overseeing effective closure of audits, etc.
* Create and provide QMS and internal auditor training for Quality personnel and others as required.
* Review Processes, Work Instructions and Forms for conformance to AS9100D standard and update and/or work with others to update as required.
* Stay current with industry quality management systems, standards, revisions and trends and proactively suggest updates/changes to the QMS as appropriate.
* Suggest and implement enhancements/updates to all elements of the QMS and provide guidance and support to everyone in the organization as required.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and activities and support organizational initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing and Statistical Process Control.
* Review Quality metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Management reviews and corrective and preventative action reviews. Support Management Reviews as required.
* Communicate well both orally and in writing to internal and external customers and stakeholders.
* Support other Quality Control and Assurance activities as required.
Education/Experience
* 10-15 years in the manufacture of aerospace detail parts and/or assemblies.
* Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience
* Experience with Model based definition and digital inspection platforms are preferred.
* Prior aerospace experience with knowledge of Military and Commercial specifications
The salary range for this position is: $83,000-$132,000. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and other factors allowed by law. Individuals are not typically hired at or near the top of the salary range..
