In this position, you will ensure quality control through visual and physical inspection of all field workmanship of roofs installed by outside contractors and/or company installation teams. You will maintain compliance to current specifications and promote products to clients.You will schedule visits to customer sites completing all corporate assigned evaluations, leak calls, and repairs per priority status. You will also help with the training of contractor's as designated by the corporate office. You may be asked to assist contractors or sales reps with roof measurements, lay-outs, and other requests. Customer service skills are very important because you will be working with customers after a claim has been made. For the most part, outside contractors install these roofs and you set your schedule based on their and the client's schedule to inspect them after installation or if there is an issue down the road. You will need to show you have strong communication and people skills as these are just as important as your problem solving/quality assurance skills.Training includes: 6 weeks to 3 months of paid training you will be working with a trained rep in this area getting you up to speed. They will continue training if needed until you are ready to go out on your own. This training will help you become the expert and these contractors, sales reps and customers will depend on you for training and advice. At some point in your career, you may be the one asked to go into another territory to train a new rep.This is a physically demanding role that will have you inspecting and repairing roofing. you will be climbing ladders and at times working on your hands and knees and they need someone who can handle this type of environment. Depending on Covid, training will either be near location you are hired for or at their corporate facility in Saginaw MI for 3-4 weeks. If in Saginaw, they will put you up locally and pay you for this time.Once trained this is an autonomous, rewarding, customer service role with a company that rewards loyalty and hard work.Travel is different for each location-- Omaha or Lincoln, NE and most of your time will be spent there. About once every 5-6 weeks you will need to go to the Sioux City IA area for usually a week, sometimes 2 weeks.- Ohio/Pennsylvania border. The primary spot they are looking for is Wheeling, WV, Youngstown, OH is the secondary. The coverage area will primarily be Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Columbus (OH), and some shots up to the Buffalo, NY area.Base salary, overtime on weekends time and a half for Saturday, double time for Sundays.
