Job Description:

Our client, a leading food manufacturing company, is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician I to join their team. As a Quality Assurance Technician I, you will be part of the Quality Assurance department supporting new product launches, sampling, and data collection. The ideal candidate will have experience in a laboratory setting, familiarity with lab safety, and exposure to a production environment.

Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician I

Location: Franklin, WI. ONSITE.

Pay Range: $15 - $17.50

What's the Job?

  • Perform routine laboratory operations in a quality assurance setting
  • Make measurements and perform several routine quantitative and qualitative biological or chemical analytical tests according to standard procedures
  • Monitor the production process and product by sensory, weight control, and analytical methods to maintain product consistency and comply with established specifications including color, moisture, pH, weight, size, etc.
  • Evaluate all finished product in regard to moisture, ingredient content, breakage, color, package fill, raw and finished weights, seal integrity, code date legibility and overall product quality
  • Accurately perform and document all testing, including inspection and testing of incoming raw materials, in-process products, finished goods, and products produced by outside suppliers

What's Needed?

  • 0-3 years of experience in a laboratory setting
  • Familiarity with lab safety and exposure to a production environment
  • Ability to strictly adhere to safety procedures when handling chemicals for testing
  • Ability to execute the Food Safety Plan and Food Quality Plan included in the SQF Program at the front line level
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
