Position Summary: The Quality Assurance Technician I adds value to BAPI and the Quality Team through development and continuous improvement of processes and systems to ensure the high quality of all BAPI products. Responsible for maintaining training records and document control, as needed and actively performing incoming inspection activities.Benefits: Relocation reimbursement, full benefits which include Health, dental, vision, PTO, 8 paid holidays, 401k match and 100% vested at 90 days and more.Quality Assurance Technician I Principle Responsibilities: Audit and Documentation Activities:
  • Collaborate with Quality Manager/Supervisor to identify requirement standards
  • Assist with ISO training documentation collection and retention as required
  • Perform training audits to identify training gaps and provide communication to applicable staff of needed training requirements.
  • Maintain training rosters; training matrix; certification and re-certification process and documentation.
  • Perform document control functions to ensure most current working documents are always uploaded and available for use
  • Perform and document Weekly Audits to assure Production Technicians are performing their tasks properly and per the associated Work Instructions.
  • Audit Encapsulation Department weekly to verify procedures are accurate and being followed using the Potting Room Audit form
  • Perform and document Pull Test Checks for crimping equipment
  • Communicate with Production on rejected incoming material so production schedule can be adjusted
  • Support root cause analysis of quality efforts as assigned by Quality Assurance Supervisor
  • Create Corrective Action Reports to report product issues
  • Assist with monthly calibration needs as assigned by the Quality Assurance Technician or Supervisor
  • Internal Audits of QMS (ISO system) per internal audit schedule as assigned
  • Incoming Material:
  • Inspect and log incoming material and document any non-conformances
  • Communicate with Purchasing on non-conforming material
  • Create documentation method for capturing critical measurements and criteria for components received at incoming inspection
  • Assist with monthly quality inventory collection
  • Represents the Quality efforts by performing evaluations of internal and external suppliers:
  • Purchasing - Review and collaborate with materials group to communicate issues with non-confirming product identified during incoming inspection activities
  • Internal Production - Conduct daily product audit inspections during cart checks.
  • Report non-conformances to Quality and Production management
  • Engineering - Review product specifications to maintain product quality and notifying engineering when required information is missing
  • Maintains industry knowledge by attending educational workshops or classes; reviewing related publications; establishing networks. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed, including special projects and tasks as delegated supervisor.RequirementsQuality Assurance Technician I Education Requirements (R/Required, P/Preferred):(R) High School Diploma or GED(P) Associate's Degree, Trade or Technical SchoolDegrees Preferred: Electrical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Mechanical Design Technology, Quality Management Certificate, or other related fields Training, Skills, Knowledge and ExperienceSpecific Training in this field (R/Required, P/Preferred):
  • (R) Understand and ability to read CAD Prints
  • (R) Understand and operate electrical and mechanical test equipment
  • Experience/Knowledge in this field (R/Required, P/Preferred):
  • (R) Computer knowledge and Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel)
  • (P) Experience working with electronic documentation management systems (EDMS), such as an ERP or other tool like SharePoint
  • (P) 2 years Light Industrial, Electronics, Quality experience
  • General Experiences/Knowledge/Skills:
