SUMMARYAssist/support the Quality Management System by providing production expertise to resolve Quality issues within the production operation. Ensure that the product meets customer's requirements (both internal and external) at each stage of its manufacturing process, conducting relevant testing and where necessary take corrective action to rectify non-conformance issues. Report quality issues data, ensuring the Quality Management System is adhered to at all stages. ResponsibilitiesJOB DUTIES
  • Assist in daily review of production quality performance by monitoring non-conforming part (NCP) trends, and the development of NCP reduction plans.
  • Assist the Quality Supervisor in the development & delivery of product specific Quality Training for all employees.
  • Partner with Engineering to ensure product(s) are being manufactured in compliance to Company and Customer specifications.
  • Supports Kennedy Valve's ISO 9001 Certification Standards.
  • Assists the Quality Supervisor with maintaining the Supplier Quality Performance database.
  • Perform analysis of customer returns or non-conforming material for root cause analysis and corrective action.
  • Assist with the generation of Quality Department inspections, logs, and reports (SIR, Holiday Free, Incoming Inspection)
  • Ensure measurement equipment is calibrated, validated, and properly maintained.
  • Engage team members in the identification of improvement opportunities and relevant countermeasures and controls.
QualificationsEXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate degree in quality engineering or assurance preferred, or a minimum of two (2) years of Quality Control experience.
  • Six Sigma Certification or Experience is Preferred.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Proven results to work cohesively within a team.
REQUIRED TRAITS
  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office Applications; specifically, Excel and Word. Verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read blueprints and use precise measurement tools, such as a micrometer and caliper.
  • Attention to detail through ambitious goal setting and productive project management.
  • Projects a consistent, reliable presence that inspires calm and confidence in our team members.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Standing for extended periods of time, walking throughout the facility, ability to lift 50lbs as required.
Work Environment
  • Exposed to elements, such as cold, heat, noise, dust, odors, fumes, etc.
  • Work time is spent on the manufacturing floor and in a managerial office.
  • Potential for alternating rotation of 1st and 2nd shifts.
