CLASSIFICATION TITLE:Quality Assurance TechnicianSALARY:$42,439.32 - $54,891.71DEPARTMENT:Macomb Community ActionOpening Date:10/25/2024Closing Date:11/12/2024 12:00 a.m.FLSA Status: Non-exemptEmployment Relationship: Just cause subject to probationary periodJOB SUMMARY:Under direction, responsible for household maintenance tasks intended to increase the safety of older adults livening independently in the community. Performs related duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs installation and/or repair of construction materials in residential dwellings.Assists in program purchases, inventory and proper maintenance of equipment.Prepares, conducts and attends meetings, training programs and seminars.Promotes and coordinates efforts toward client and agency goals with clients, contractors and other agencies.Operates an automobile while performing assigned duties.QUALIFICATIONS (Education and Experience):Required Education and Experience:
  • Possession of a high school diploma or a certificate of successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) test.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in construction or building trades.
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Michigan Residential Builder's license.
Required Licenses and/or Certifications:
  • Possession of a valid Michigan driver's license and an operable insured automobile for authorized travel.
Knowledge of:
  • Macomb Community Action program requirements and services provided
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations
  • Knowledge of building and construction best practices
  • Community resources available for senior citizens
Skill in:
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain effective and appropriate working relationships with clients, co-workers, staff, other agencies and the public
  • Working with diverse populations
Ability to:
  • Effectively interact in a respectful manner with irate parties; de-escalate stressful situations
  • Work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Effectively organize and manage time
  • Effectively speak, write and understand the English language
  • Speak and understand a language other than English is preferred
