We produce vinyl windows, vinyl and composite siding and accessories, and metal building products--and distribute other essential building products to ensure customers find everything they need for their exterior.Job Description (Quality Auditor)We are searching for a motivated Quality Auditor Associate that will be part of our manufacturing plant. As a dedicated team and AM family member, our Quality Auditors Associates are vital to the success of our business and operations. In your role with Associated Materials, you will ensure our products maintain the highest level of quality satisfaction our customers expect. At Associated Materials, we as a family work together and believe excellent results begin with you!Primary Duties:
  • Audit products in assigned work areas.
  • Report/flag quality issues immediately to the area Lead and Supervisor
  • Assist in the training of operators/ inspectors on what is acceptable and what is not to produce a quality product.
  • Verify quality of the product as it is being made
  • Cross train in other areas in the department to be proficient in all jobs on the production line; will be required to work as an End of Line Inspector on any line when needed.
  • Responsible for utilizing proper Personal Protection Equipment when required.
  • Report/flag equipment problems/concerns immediately to the area Lead and Supervisor.
  • Perform regular checks on the product and the process to reduce variables and inconsistency.
  • Be a hands-on team player.
  • Conform to site health and safety procedures as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
  • Interpersonal Skills are critical in this position. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels. Must be capable of professionally handling and resolving conflict. Must be a positive advocate in implementing and supporting Company Quality Initiatives. Strong Team Working Capabilities.
  • Must be able to properly prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Able to make decisions on your own.
  • Comfortable to work within a shift structure system.
  • Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16thof an inch. Able to use Calipers successfully.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 75lbs occasionally and 30 lbs frequently during the shift.
  • Must be able to work a 40-hour work week, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
  • Must be able to comprehend and understand the English Language
  • Must be able to pass written company exams to demonstrate competency; may be required to pass written exam annually.
  • Must be able to understand and follow Standard Work
  • High School Diploma
Qualifications Desired:
  • Associates Degree in Science, Engineering or Technology
  • 2+ years experience in a quality position
  • Bi-lingual (English and Spanish).
  • Previous production experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Computer literate with experience working with MS Office (Excel, Word, etc)
