QUALITY AUDITORSummaryPlans and performs internal audits of the Quality Management System and identify, and address gaps of the QMS to industry regulatory, customer, and internal requirements.Responsibilities
- Audits Quality Management System for compliance with industry regulatory standards including AS9100 and Nadcap, and internal company Standard Operation Procedures.
- Plans and conducts audits of manufacturing operations and supporting department procedures. Supporting departments include Contracts, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Facilities, etc.
- Coordinates audit activity with team members. Presents audit plans and results presentations to auditees, management, and stakeholders.
- Create audit check sheets.
- Performs audits in accordance with an audit schedule.
- Identifies compliance gaps and reports audit results.
- Ensures compliance gaps are actioned and closed.
- Provides guidance to process owners with identifying causes of compliance gaps and establishing gap closing actions.
- Manages, creates, and reports auditing metrics. Makes presentations demonstrating audit results.
- Works with the team to review documentation and processes and provides recommendations for improvements.
- Assists in preparing for and supporting audits conducted by external regulatory agencies and customers.
- Advises on potential improvements to help enhance the quality management system, leading to better compliance and efficiency.
- Assists with maintaining and revising QMS documentation as needed.
Qualifications
- 2+ years auditing experience in manufacturing environment.
- Associate degree or higher.
- Proficient with PC and MS Office tools including MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, Visio, and MS Power Point.
- Excellent communication skills to clearly convey ideas and action plans, written or verbal as well as good investigative and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- In-depth knowledge of AS9100 and/or Nadcap is a plus.
- Experience working in manufacturing environments as it relates to AS9100, and experience in performing AS9100 and/or Nadcap audits preferred.
- Experience with RCCA analysis.
- Certifications are a plus (AS9100 Auditor, PMP, Six Sigma, etc)
- Formal auditor training is a plus.
- AS9110 experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
