Quality Contractor needed for a 6 month contract opportunity with SOC's client to work in Palm Bay, FL.
Job Description:
Under the direction and guidance of the Manager of Quality Assurance, the Quality Contractor's primary role will be to work side by side with Operations to assure deliverable product complies to all quality requirements based on processes and contractual requirements. Primary duties will include assisting in the daily departmental functions procedures and assisting in defect reporting and trend evaluations.
Responsibilities:
* Develop manufacturing work instructions based on Engineering drawings with a focus on Quality Inspection requirements.
* Manage Operator Self Verification Program.
* Perform final and in-process on hardware.
* Ensure that product is manufactured to the latest applicable configuration documentation.
* Perform Manufacturing Configuration verification and work package closure
* Prepare and review data submittal packages for end item deliverables (composed of test data, inspection results, C-of-C's, etc.).
* Maintain, control and process non-conforming incoming or in-process material.
* Manage and drive timely closure of open defects.
* Lead cross-functional teams to develop robust RCCA's for manufacturing defects.
* Assist in defect tracking and evaluation process, including trend evaluation to reduce recurrences. (As directed by the Q.A. Manager)
* Execute and present data analysis for nonconformance's in daily Gemba.
* Participate as a member within Material Review Board (MRB); role is interchangeable with PQE when required.
* Generate Corrective Action Requests (CARs) for Customer Quality rejections.
* Assist in coordination of failure analysis efforts.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science Engineering or related field. Requires advanced job knowledge/skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Knowledge and/or experience with Microsoft Tool Suite
* Experience in development of manufacturing work instructions
* Excellent communication, technical writing and presentation skills
* Knowledge and/or experience with ISO9001/AS9100
* Knowledge and/or experience with Agile Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or similar PLM tool
In compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the pay rate for this role is $28/hr-$40/hr. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
