We are accepting resumes for a full-time Chemist for a very small, but busy Quality Control laboratory-We are looking for someone with some experience working with GC/HPLC/LCMS equipment. Need to be able to start up, run and troubleshoot equipment and methods. Needs to work as part of team of 5 employees in a small laboratory, so the ability to get along and self-start is very important.
Knowledge on how to set up new methods and validation strategies with new instruments. A background in Quality Assurance would be ideal. Job includes daily chemistry work plus cleaning, SOPs, ISO certification, etc. Someone who learns quickly and has a love for analytical work and instrumentation will be the best fit.
The shift would be 10 hour shifts, Tues-Friday, 7:00am to 5:30pm (some flexibility on hours) this is a bench position with added responsibilities that include helping with maintaining the quality management system for ISO17025 certifications. This is NOT a research type position, and does not pay like a big pharma type job, and you do not need a PhD or Masters to perform the duties required for this position. Being able to troubleshoot instruments & repair when needed, and analyze peak issues, sample integrity issues, and other analytical tasks is necessary.
Must be able to multi task, but still stay focused on sample processing. Ability to handle stressful (at times), time sensitive analytical work and assignments is also important in this position. Pay is $20-26/hr. depending on experience (a little less if you have less that the required experience, new graduates who learn quickly are welcome to apply, and its a great opportunity to grow your skill set for the right individual). The lab is located in Ravalli, just north of Arlee, about 40 miles from Missoula.
