Description FESCO, Ltd. Quality Control (QC) Equipment Inspectors use different Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods to test the properties of materials and components to identify faults and conditions. Qualifications:
- Skills in math and science are required to analyze results
- Basic computer skills to include Email, Excel and Word required
- Must have a valid drivers license and be willing to travel
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Familiarity with oil and gas type equipment preferred, but not required
Responsibilities: FESCO Ltd. QC Equipment Inspectors examine and test the properties and condition of materials used in pipe, fittings and vessels for possible faults such as corrosion, wear, cracks and other imperfections. A QC Equipment Inspector will use a range of methods to test materials and parts, including but not limited the following:
- visual inspection
- ultrasonic testing
- dye penetrant testing*
- magnetic particle testing*
* Not currently used in QC inspecting Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift +/- 60 pounds of weight
- Meet vision requirements as described in FESCO WP-100 7.1-Vision
- Must have physical and manual dexterity necessary to perform the job functions
- Prolonged standing on feet
- Repetitive stooping, squatting, bending, twisting, turning
- Strength required to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and or 10 to 15 pounds frequently and 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
Adherence to all FESCO, Ltd. Safety Policies and Procedures and use of proper personal protective equipment is required at all times. The Quality Control Equipment Inspector will be under the direct supervision of the Equipment Inspection Supervisor.
