**Summary**

This position is responsible for organizing and scheduling their time to accomplish checks as directed by management. Deficiencies noted are to be reported to management for corrective action.

**Hours of Operation:**

+ 1st shift 4:30 am to 3:00 pm

**Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities**

+ Must follow poultry welfare guidelines.

+ This position will perform routine temperature checks on incubation equipment as directed by management.

+ Conduct routine moisture loss surveys, residue breakout analysis, and candling breakout as directed by management.

+ Completes routine hatch timing analysis.

+ Monitor chemical use, facility biosecurity and facility sanitation both visually and by plating, daily, weekly, and monthly.

+ perform non-routine quality control checks as directed by management.

+ Cleans hatchers, hatcher tops and hatcher room so as to maintain a low to zero bacteria and mold level.

+ Empties hatcher racks back in to the hatcher room at completion of clean up.

+ Must be able to use broom, shovel, mop and scrub brushes to remove chick down, and work with chemicals to effectively wash and disinfect hatchers through hand scrubbing and high pressure washer.

+ Perform process audits.

+ These audits include, but are not limited to, Inovo vaccination, box counts, vaccine preparation, and poultry welfare.

**Minimum Education**

High school or equivalent

**Experience Preferred**

Reading and writing skills preferred.

**Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements**

+ Exposed to temperatures ranging from 60 to 105 degrees Fahrenheit and humidities up to 100%.

+ Exposed to chemicals, drups and vaccines to be covered in MSDS training and hazardous communications.

+ Use personal protective equipment as required.

+ Ability to lift 4 lbs. to a height of 6 feet, to push 75 lbs. a distance of 75 feet and lift 20 - 25 lbs. to a height of 3 feet.

+ Must be able to work in a wet, damp, dusty (chick down) environment.
