Job DescriptionPosition Summary:OPEX Corporation is currently looking for a full time Quality Control Inspector to work at our facility in Pennsauken, NJ. The second shifts hours are 2:00 PM - 10:15 PM. The position will be responsible for inspecting automation equipment for this global technology leader in high-speed mailroom automation, document imaging, and material handling.Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints and specifications.
- Monitor operations to ensure that they meet production standards.
- Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process.
- Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced.
- Measure products with calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
- Define and analyze problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions on quality issues.
- Make recommendations on all issues regarding quality of production.
- Approves and reject incoming parts.
- Approves in-process machine builds by confirming specifications.
- Conduct visual and measurement tests.
- Approves finished products by confirming specifications.
- Returning products for re-work and confirming re-work.
- Document inspection results by completing reports and logs.
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Electronics and/or equivalent hands-on job experience
- Experience inspecting electro-mechanical machinery
- 2 + years quality control experience required.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Workplace safety experience a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Physical/Work Environments:
- Worker will be working in a warehouse environment
- Ability to maneuver a job site, including small spaces in around our equipment
- Sitting and standing for an extended period of time
- Worker must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching overhead, reaching forward will occur while on the job
