37.00-40.00 per hour | Posted 05-Sep-2024 (PST) | Jacksonville, FL, USA | Hourly | Full TimeTactical Air Support Inc.Quality Control Inspector Jacksonville, FLSalary $37.00 - $40.00 hourly DOEPosition SummaryTactical Air is currently seeking a QC Inspector with a background in avionics to perform skilled work in the inspection of aircraft parts, components, equipment, and systems in accordance with applicable standards and specifications. Performs both visual and dimensional inspections. Reads and complies with instructions and safety information as necessary for proper and safe completion of assigned work.ResponsibilitiesPerforms both primary inspections and buy-back inspections as assigned.Performs both visual and dimensional inspections properly and accurately.Writes up inspection items accurately, noting discrepancies' clearly.Performs buybacks inspection ensuring that previously noted and subsequently repaired items have been properly completed and documented.Researches and retrieves technical data as necessary.Maintains an updated, current knowledge of technical information and inspection techniques and requirements through adequate research and technical reading.Follows safety procedures and wears and utilizes appropriate safety equipment for the work being performed.Reads instructions and safety information as necessary for proper and safe completion of assigned work.RequirementsHigh school diploma/GED with 3 or more years of aircraft avionics and installing aircraft components experience.One or more years of experience performing: inspections, operational test, repairs, modifications, troubleshooting, and the replacement of aircraft electrical/avionic systems.Experience with First Article Inspection Reports and preparing necessary records such as inspection documentation, logs, or other records thoroughly, legibly, and in a timely manner.Experience interpreting blueprints, drawings, and other technical data.Valid state driver's license.U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance.Desired Experience/SkillsF5 aircraft experienceFAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificatePhysical DemandsOccasional lifting up to 50 pounds (with assistance, if required).Regular use of hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls, reaching with hands and arms.Regularly ascend/descend stairs and/or ladders.Work Authorization and EnvironmentMust be lawfully eligible to work in the United States and complete a U.S. government I-9 Form.Tactical Air Support is a Drug & Alcohol-Free Workplace .
