Here's what you'd do:

Quality Control Inspector

Details of the role:

  • Working on a team but self-directed for inspections,
  • Receiving inspection of Mechanical equipment; once the inspection is completed,
  • Document anything that is wrong/missing,
  • Enter all details of inferior parts into the performance tracking system, log into JDE, and move that part to the warehouse.
  • Check and test samples of a product.
  • Inspect products purchased by their company from suppliers and maintain records of supplier performance.
  • Use tools such as calipers, micrometers, high gauges, and thread gauges.
  • Carry out inspection-related activities for all components and assemblies.
  • Dimensional and visual in-process inspection with controlled drawings and applicable specifications.
  • Receiving inspection of all jobs performed in the facility.
  • Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
  • Responsible for inspecting products using established inspection tools and techniques.
  • Working on a team but self-directed for inspections
  • Maintains the highest standards of corporate governance, ensuring that all activities are carried out ethically and in compliance with the Company's Security, Compliance & HSE policies, Management System, relevant laws, regulations, standards, and industry practices and complies with the Company's Rules to Live By.
  • Places Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers, or the communities in which we live and work at risk.
  • Seeks continual improvement in Health, Safety, Security & protection of the Environment, taking into account responsible care, process vulnerabilities, public, customer, and employee inputs, knowledge and technology, and best business practices to exceed customer expectations.
  • Responsible for being familiar with the Company's Quality policies and taking an active role in the compliance and improvement of clients' Management Systems.
  • Maintains service quality as an immediate priority when working across all business areas and continually seeks areas for improvement.
Houston, TX. $30.00 / hour 6 month contract

Job RequirementsRequired Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience using calipers, micrometers, high gauges, and thread gauges.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Experience with JD Edwards System.
  • Direct manufacturing inspection experience.
  • Understanding of engineering drawings, GDNT, how to read a drawing, measuring devices, and what devices are appropriate for each inspection.
  • Able to demonstrate basic math, read blueprints/engineering drawings, and operate measuring equipment.
  • Effective communication skills.
