In return for hard work and dedication, our goal is to provide a safe, productive, and enjoyable workplace for every employee.ACHIEVE YOUR DREAMS WITH US AND APPLY NOW!FLSA Status: Non-ExemptLOCATION: Athens, TXREPORTS TO: Quality ManagerSummary: Under General supervision, work on the production line, as part of a team, to test and ensure proper completion of the electrical components of manufactured housing, and perform quality work at a fast moving and consistent manner.Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned ):Conducts a dielectric strength test, polarity, operational and continuity test for each floorReponsible for 'closing up' the electrical crossovers and the electrical panel boxWill be cross trained to perform high and low pressure gas testsResponsible for measuring and recording the height of each floorWill assist Final Finish with weighing homesResponsible for completing a testing checklist for each floorResponsible for ensuring all data accumulated on a daily basis is turned into the QA officeAdditional job duties as required and assignedEnsures all quality control policies, procedures, directives and systems within compliance of company and/or applicable federal regulations, continually strives to increase the level of quality assurance within the facility.Ensures all safety policies and procedures are followed in accordance with guidelines established by the Company in accordance with OSHA regulations.Qualifications:Basic understanding of electrical functionsAbility to physically work under houses and use a creeperAbility to climb ladders and work on top of homesMust be able to read a tape measureKnowledge and ability to use computer/laptop, copy machines and printers comfortably is a plusMust be able to meet deadlines, work under pressure, follow best practices and company policiesMust be able to multitask and consistently follow best practices when making inspectionsMust be able to resolve issues calmly and with professional conductUnderstanding of all quality measuresUnderstanding of the construction process of factory-built housingSense of urgency in resolving issues and improving processes is requiredMust be results driven and be able to focus on customer expectationsMust have good verbal and written communication skills; must be able to read and write legiblyMust be teamwork oriented and have a positive work attitudeMust be able to climb, bend and stoopEducation and/or Experience:High School degree and or some college, or one year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferredChampion Home Builders is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
