The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for conducting hands-on inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), and the ability to identify and document any non-conformities. The Quality Control Inspector plays a critical role in maintaining product quality and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform visual inspections and testing of raw materials, components, and finished products according to established SOPs and quality standards.
- Document inspection and testing results accurately and promptly.
- Identify and document any non-conformities or deviations from quality standards.
- Assist in investigating the root cause of quality issues and participate in problem-solving activities.
- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as R&D and Manufacturing, to resolve quality-related issues.
- Support the development and improvement of quality control processes and procedures.
- Participate in training programs to enhance inspection and testing skills.
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
- Other duties as requested by business need.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR POSITION:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a quality control or inspection role preferred.
- Basic understanding of quality control principles and techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs.
- Good communication skills and ability to document inspection results accurately.
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively with others.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping.
- Consistent and regular attendance is expected.
CERTIFICATES/LICENSES REQUIRED FOR ROLE:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Physical requirements include arm and hand dexterity enough to use a keyboard and telephone; occasional lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds; occasional pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds; may be subject to walking, standing, sitting, reaching, bending, kneeling, handling, and climbing; and vision, speech, and hearing sufficient to perform the essential tasks.
