Role and ResponsibilitiesThe Quality Inspector will be responsible for but not limited to, performing NDE inspections on projects in addition to other non-NDE activities that may be requested.
- Conduct weld inspections in accordance with written procedures and acceptance criteria then complete applicable paperwork.
- Conduct mechanical inspections using hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures and complete applicable paperwork.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings correctly.
- Issue non-conformances reports for discrepant items and tag the items appropriately.
REQUIREMENTS- Must have minimum of 3 years of NDE experience.
- Must have experience as a mechanical (dimensional) inspector.
- Successful applicant will have a systematic approach to work, be detail oriented and able to finish assignments with little supervision.
- Must be currently qualified (or have been qualified in the prior three years) as a Level II weld inspections for Visual (VT), Liquid Penetrant (PT) and Magnetic Particle (MT) examination in accordance with SNT-TC-1A.
- Good computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point & Access).
- Excellent communication skills, organizational and time management skills.
- Good teamwork skills, participating in team environment.
- Willing and capable of standing the entire shift.
- Willing and capable of working Off-Shifts to support company needs.
- Capable of lifting 50 pounds.
- Must have experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and principles to support working in a safe environment
PERFERED QUALIFICATIONS- Currently qualified as a Level II weld inspector for Radiographic (RT), Digital Radiographic DR) and/or Ultrasonic (UT) examinations in accordance with SNT-TC-1A.
- Previously qualified (within the prior three years) or documented and verifiable training hours toward a Level II weld inspector for RT, DR and/or UT examinations under SNT-TC-1A.
