Job Description:
Position: Quality Control (QC) Inspector Responsibilities:
  • QC inspector is responsible for ensuring quality inspections are performed at routine intervals; This includes both visual inspection and quality performance testing of all products.
  • QC inspector must also ensure all required production log and quality inspection paperwork documents are properly completed by the end of each shift.
  • The ability to accurately measure component inventory to provide accurate measurements to the production team
  • Excellent communicator, leads by example, team-oriented
  • Can work independently to resolve and reconcile issues
  • Help develop more effective and efficient work flow processes
  • Monitoring of parts to ensure the highest quality packaged goods
  • Minor and/or basic troubleshooting of machines
  • Can train QC Inspector positions on other shifts
  • Communicate and strategize with multiple departments and positions to maximize both short-term and long-term workflow processes.
  • Will be empowered to make the call to production to shut down any machines if the products fall out of acceptable specifications.
Competency Requirements:
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Lift between 15-25 lbs when necessary
  • Work from engineering drawings and specifications, quality assurance standards and test procedures
  • In process inspection skills mandatory and a large focus of this job
  • Communicate effectively enough to participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving teams.
  • Basic knowledge of disassembly, assembly and preventative maintenance of molds and machines
  • Perform visual and dimensional checks on all parts produced using micrometers, calipers, and other types of testing equipment to maintain and ensure quality of parts
  • General knowledge of plastic materials and processes
  • Perform cleaning and general maintenance tasks
  • Manage and document all product change requests with internal team and suppliers
  • Perform material control processes such as cycle counting, lot tracking and other related inventory transactions
  • Must have good written and verbal skills
  • Must have 1-year experience in an injection molding machine facility, experience in injection molding including machine adjustment, troubleshooting, quality control
  • Medical clean room or laboratory experience a plus
  • This job requires a high school diploma or equivalent
