Task Description:
99610 QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR (FGE is one grade above the class that performs the work being inspected.) This inspector implements quality control and safety plans to ensure compliance with contract specifications and applicable regulations, inspects all phases of a variety of goods, services or operation for conformity to established quality, health and safety, and other operational standards by performing on-going work for compliance with contractual provisions; ensures all services listed on the performance requirement summary are performed in a satisfactory manner, specifies areas to be inspected (scheduled and unscheduled) and how often inspections will be accomplished, communicates deficiencies to proper persons, maintains Quality Control files, and document results of all inspections.
Task Requirements:
* Performs duties as QC Inspector/QAR on P-3 aircraft in support of Customs Border Protection (CBP).
* Inspect the adjustments, repairs, or modifications made on the P-3 aircraft.
* Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
* Ensure P3 Aircraft Airworthiness.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Out of country travel may be required for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
* 20 years' experience and 15 years' experience supporting P-3 and/or EP-3E aircraft.
* Operational experience vs. manufacturing or production experience.
* Experience with P-3 platform.
* 8 years experience with the application and use of technical data and blueprints.
* Familiarity with the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) or equivalent.
Basic Qualifications:
* High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years' additional education and/or related experience.
* A minimum of 4 years experience on P-3 or similar platform.
* A minimum of 4 years of practical experience with the application and use of technical data and blueprints.
* A minimum of 3 years of experience analyzing situations to discover facts, knowledge, and interpretations to carry out prescribed actions(s).
* A minimum of 3 years of experience with aircraft logbooks and airworthiness release of aircraft.
* Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
* Ability to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.
* A current U.S. passport, accept period time away from primary work location and comply with mobility requirements.
* A current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) and Inspection Authorization (IA) certification.
* Ability to obtain CBP Secret clearance
Compensation
$49.65/hour
Other Compensation
Employees that waive medical insurance, receive an opt-out payment of $2.00 per hour paid to a maximum of 40 hours per week.
