Job Description

The Roof Observer is to maintain a presence at the construction site to ensure and confirm the roofing contractor is compliant with the contract documents, approved submittals, schedule, and safety procedures. The Roof Observer will complete daily quality and safety reports among other submittals throughout the week.

Responsibilities

* Maintain a presence at the construction site and on a day-to-day basis, interact with the roofing contractors and the clients representatives, along with the Interstate Project Manager in order to coordinate site requirements per job specifications

* Taking photographs of job-site progress and daily documentation + reporting

* Ensuring the roofing contractor is compliant with the Contract Documents

* Completing and submitting daily quality and safety reports

* Inform the Interstate Project Manager of quality issues and safety violations by the contractor

* Ensure incomplete work is finished prior to the final inspection.

Essential Skills

* Proficiency in Excel

* Experience as a Project Coordinator

* Expertise in Roofing Inspection

* Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

* Experience in Quality Control and Inspection

* 2 years of experience with Roofing, either Residential or Commercial (Demo, Inspection, or Shingling)

* 1 year of experience using an iPad (either from previous experience or from personal use)
