Job Description:
IQIP, the global leader in pile driving and handling equipment, is looking for a QC Engineer. Together with our 400 colleagues across the globe, we provide smart and sustainable solutions for a variety of projects. Our work extends both at sea, where we contribute to wind farm and oil & gas projects, and on land, where we engage in projects related to bridges and ports. You will be contributing to ensuring the highest quality standards in all of our projects by overseeing quality control activities.As a QC Engineer at IQIP, you will join our Quality Control team and report directly to the Lead QC. Your role involves optimal coordination between internal production departments, our supply chain, and internal departments to meet both customer and internal quality expectations. You will prepare, conduct, and document quality surveillance, inspection, and control within applicable areas of production and project execution, focusing on reducing cost failures, developing supplier performance, and improving product quality.Your Responsibilities:Act as a representative from the QHSE department in various projects.Provide technical guidance and support in QC, creating inspection and test plans for projects in the offshore wind, coastal and civil, oil and gas, and decommissioning markets.Conduct both internal and external inspections, coordinating with clients and/or third-party inspectors.Perform visual and dimensional inspections, document all inspection results and feedback.Advise and support the Sales department during the tender phase, review client specifications, and give feedback.Liaise with suppliers, procurement, and inspectors regarding final material, welding, coating, and quality documentation.Take care of project QA/QC documentation and continuously identify and propose recommendations for improvement.Your Profile:MBO in mechanical engineering or equivalent with 4 - 7 years of working experience.VT-W 2 certification or equivalent, IWS or IWT is a major advantage.Knowledge and experience with metalworking, welding technology, steel structures, and hydraulic systems.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding procedures.Experience with international standards such as ISO, ASME, DNV, etc.Good command of the Dutch and English language, both spoken and written.A customer-oriented attitude with a service mindset.Our Offer:Join us in driving the energy transition.Monthly salary depending on your level and expertise.Annual bonus (profit sharing)8% holiday allowance, paid annually40 paid annual leave days (27 holidays + 13 additional days)Benefits such as travel allowance, laptop, and educational opportunities, PME pension fund.
