- Perform physical property testing on incoming raw materials to ensure that they meet appropriate standards of quality.
- Perform physical property testing on production batch samples to ensure that customers receive the highest quality products in a timely manner.
- Process approval or rejection of materials through SAP ERP software.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Assist in the investigation of quality issues.
- Complete supervisor assigned responsibilities to ensure that departmental objectives are being met on time.
- Participate with cross functional teams to identify continuous improvement opportunities as required.
- Characterize, handle, label, manifest, or inspect hazardous waste in accordance with environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer proficiency using Windows and various software packages including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and SAP
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Basic understanding of industrial manufacturing processes is preferred
- Ability to read and follow written procedures
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly, such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and gloves, part or most of the day.
