They will lead and coach the Quality team and maintain the quality control lab to achieve conformity and continuous improvements. Principal ResponsibilitiesPerform or delegate others to perform daily quality control activitiesEnsure inspections and testing validates the quality and conformity of all finished productsOversee the commencement of each new job to ensure parameters, conditions, and procedures are correctCalibrate, record in-house instruments and gauges periodically and maintain equipmentPrepare and submit product specifications manuals to support productionReplenish required materials, parts, tools, and equipment for quality control labMaintain ISO systems for continued complianceSupervise projects for improvements in quality, efficiency and cost savings with the departmentEnsure work instructions are developed and communicated to employees and coach for consistency and complianceMake decisions with Material Review Board members related to quality concernsPrepare operating reports to summarize production, downtime, scrap, and variance performance by machine and shiftProvide supporting records and/or documentation to productionCoordinate internal & external auditing as requiredQualifications & ExperienceBachelor of Science or Engineering or equivalent experience required5+ years' experience in quality leadership role, within a manufacturing environmentCertifications related to Quality and/or ISO 9001 are an assetExperience and familiarity of ISO 9001 requirements and processes in relation to productionExcellent communication, organizational and leadership skillsKnowledge and understanding of quality assurance procedures and control methodologiesStrong aptitude for control of calibration on testing and measuring equipmentAbility to work with cross-functional teamsComputer literate including Microsoft software, hardware installations, network configurations, database management and phone systems#LI-JM1IPEX is committed to providing accommodations for people with disabilities throughout the recruitment process and, upon request, will work with qualified job applicants to provide suitable accommodation in a manner that takes into account the applicant's accessibility needs due to disability.
