About the job Quality Control Manager Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems compliant with ISO 9001:2015.
- Conduct and oversee quality audits for multiple locations.
- Ensure product conformance with customer specifications through thorough analysis and monitoring.
- Collaborate with management and customers to address and resolve quality issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the quality system.
- Implement and enforce ISO-compliant quality control procedures.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to diagnose and address chronic quality issues.
- Manage the Quality Control team, including supervisors and technicians.
- Oversee the calibration and maintenance of analytical equipment.
- Develop and implement plans to comply with government contracts.
- Manage customer complaint resolutions and ensure timely responses.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment.
- At least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Extensive experience with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems.
- Proficient in math and measurement skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to interpret and communicate government specifications.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Capable of leading a team of 4-6 technicians.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ERP systems and quality management software.
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to quality control.
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma.
- Ability to travel frequently, including by plane.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and reporting.
