We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Quality Control Manager with government project work experience to join our team and play a pivotal role in the success of our forecasted company growth.

Job Overview:

The Quality Control Manager is responsible for overseeing both quality control and safety operations on construction sites. This role is vital for the successful completion of projects within the USACE, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, meet high-quality standards, and comply with all relevant regulations. This role ensures that all projects meet high-quality standards while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in quality control processes, site safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control Management:

  • Quality Assurance:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and standards for all construction projects.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and approve material and equipment specifications and testing methods.
  • Problem Resolution:
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve quality issues or defects in construction materials or workmanship.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to address any quality concerns.
  • Maintain detailed records of quality inspections, testing results, and corrective actions.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Prepare and submit quality control reports to management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation related to quality control processes, inspections, and compliance.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Promote best practices in quality control and contribute to process improvements.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to enhance quality control measures.

Support Site Safety and Health Management:

  • Safety Program Implementation:
  • Implement and manage safety programs and policies to ensure a safe working environment on-site.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Training and Compliance:
  • Provide safety training and orientation for new employees and ongoing training for existing staff.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant safety regulations and standards.
  • Incident Management:
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain records of safety incidents, injuries, and near misses, and prepare incident reports as required.
  • Emergency Preparedness:
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Conduct emergency drills and ensure that all personnel are familiar with emergency protocols.
  • Health and Safety Compliance:
  • Monitor and enforce health and safety regulations, including personal protective equipment (PPE) usage and safe work practices.
  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting of safety compliance and health standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education: QC Manager is required to be a graduate engineer, graduate architect, or a graduate of construction management, with a minimum of 5 years construction experience on construction. Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience on USACE projects, in quality control within the new build commercial construction industry.
  • Hold OHSA 30

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of quality control processes, construction standards, and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in safety management systems and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in quality control and safety (e.g., OSHA Certification, Quality Control Certification) are highly desirable.
