This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about fruit quality, optimization, and ensuring top-notch standards throughout the storage, packing, and distribution process.Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customers and their quality teams to optimize product utilization and address any quality deviations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and standards.
- Conduct inspections of incoming fruits (including citrus, grapes, plums, and other varieties) during the packing process.
- Identify and document any defects or quality issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Allocate products to lots and customers based on quality and origin.
- Ensure all quality control processes comply with industry standards and regulations (USDA/FDA) and the company's QA Manual.
- Work closely with other departments, such as marketing and operations, to address quality concerns and align with quality goals.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality control processes and overall product quality.
Requirements:
- Bachelors in Food Science, Agriculture, or a related field is required.
- Experience in the fruit industry with a strong understanding of fruit quality standards and inspections.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Computer literacy, particularly in database systems.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications in quality control or food safety are a plus.
