Job Title: Quality Control ManagerJob Description
The Quality Control Manager will manage the QC organization of the project while reporting to the Superintendent and Project Manager. The role involves ensuring all materials, workmanship, and construction are in full compliance with contract plans, specifications, and all applicable building codes for local, state, and nationwide vertical construction projects. Responsibilities include reviewing design submissions, submittals, performing inspections, writing and reviewing reports, and conducting preparatory meetings with subcontractors and concerned personnel to define QC and safety policies, procedures, and newly definable features.
Responsibilities
+ Manage the QC organization of the project.
+ Ensure compliance with contract plans, specifications, and building codes.
+ Review design submissions and submittals.
+ Perform inspections and write and review reports.
+ Conduct preparatory meetings with subcontractors and concerned personnel to define QC and safety policies and procedures.
Essential Skills
+ Quality Control Management (QCM)
+ Quality Assurance/Quality Control
+ Construction Quality Management
+ Experience with USACE QCM standards
+ Experience with EM-385 and EM385
+ Experience with submittals, RMS, and eCMS
+ OSHA 30 certification (needed if dual hat)
+ USACE Quality Control Management Certification
+ Minimum 5 years of overall general construction experience
+ 3-5 years of Federal construction experience, specifically working on NAVFAC projects
+ Prior experience with the 3 phase quality control process as per USACE standards
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to work on large and long-term projects
+ Strong reputation for quality work and stability in the industry
+ Experience with Federal Construction projects
