POSITION SUMMARY:
This position has a dual focus for our custom HVAC product lines at Arizon Companies, with manufacturing plants in Maryland Heights, MO and in Breckenridge Hills, MO.
The Quality Control Manager will be responsible for implementing manufacturing, testing and quality control procedures for all of Arizon's product lines. This will include developing improved documentation, improved documentation flow, working with our manufacturing supervisors, engineers and managers to develop and implement new processes, ensure accountability of such processes, develop the quality control team further, and work with the research and development team to test new product offerings.
FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
* Develops, implements, and manages processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability.
* Communicates quality standards and parameters to QC team, manufacturing teams, product development team, and other appropriate staff.
* Coordinates product testing processes.
* Identifies and analyzes issues, defects, and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple products; recommends and facilitates solutions to these issues.
* Participate in weekly customer service meetings and assist with multi-background Root Cause Analyses to quickly solve the issues and eliminate future problems by implementing improved manufacturing quality control practices.
* Participate in project kick-off meetings for major projects in order to plan for potential production flow difficulties and determine the need for a custom quality control plan.
* Oversees the daily workflow and schedules of the department.
* Review fabrication drawings for conformance with Record Submittal.
* Reports on a weekly or monthly basis on the quality control issues found and solutions implemented.
* Work cross functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and R&D to develop new product features and new product lines.
* Inspect vendor components for quality and work with vendors to remediate any quality issues found.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university or an equivalent combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or work experience.
* Strong leadership and organization skills required.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
* Intermediate skill level with Microsoft suite, advanced skill level preferred.
* Experience in a custom manufacturing environment is preferred.
* Experience in the HVAC industry is preferred.
* Must be a self-starter and highly ambitious towards completing company goals.
