Trader Joe's is unlike any place you've ever worked. Trust us on that. The qualified Quality Control Manager has at least 3 years of experience and is a raving fan of the Trader Joe's concept. A Bachelor's Degree in quality control or food technology is strongly preferred. This role is based in our Service Center in Franklin, KY.
The Quality Control Manager is responsible for:
* Ensuring vendors are in compliance with Trader Joe's Minimum Vendor Requirements throughout the Supply Chain.
* Effectively ensuring food safety compliance standards are being followed by Service Center teams and operations.
* Supporting the Product Integrity Committee to ensure effective regulatory compliance while minimizing exposure of the company.
* Managing customer complaint systems and provide guidance and support to Service Center Warehouse and Logistics teams in continuous improvement objectives.
* Initiating appropriate corrective action when non-conformances occur.
* Conducting trainings with a focus on Quality Control processes.
* Ensuring necessary documentation is complete, accurate, and properly maintained.
* Recommending measures to improve quality of product and quality systems.
* Working collaboratively with other departments.
The Quality Control Manager has:
* A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in quality control, food technology, food science, or related combination of education and experience.
* Prior experience working in warehousing with a focus in Quality Control/Assurance.
* HACCP, PCQI, SQF certifications.
* Experience handling recalls and product safety concerns.
* Prior experience in Microsoft Office systems.
