Quality Control Manager - USACE ConstructionPosition OverviewThe Quality Control Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality standards of construction projects under the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) guidelines. This role involves implementing quality control processes, conducting inspections, and fostering a culture of compliance and safety within the team to meet project objectives and regulatory requirements. The Commmercial DOD project will break ground on Jan 15th of 2025.Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control plans in accordance with USACE standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with safety standards and quality benchmarks.
- Lead and mentor the quality control team to enhance their skills and ensure effective quality assurance practices.
- Maintain documentation of quality control activities and prepare reports for management and stakeholders.
- Conduct hazard analysis and risk assessments to identify potential quality-related issues.
- Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and EM-385-1-1 standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with project management to align quality objectives with overall project goals.
- Facilitate training sessions on quality control procedures and safety standards for team members.
- Manage quality control documentation and records, ensuring they are up to date and accessible.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for enhancing quality control processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in quality control within the construction industry, preferably with USACE projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations, including OSHA and EM-385-1-1.
- Proven experience in quality assurance and control methodologies.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.
